These recordings might be available in your
favorite record stores, (the ones who take the time to stock non-mainstream music)
but don't count on it, for several reasons. Record distributors have a policy
of not handling artist-owned labels, or labels with only one artist, even when
it would be a good business move for them. There simply is not enough room in
record stores for all the independent label music, and lesser-known artists are
always getting shoved aside to make room for cardboard statues of Alan Jackson
or Madonna. The Internet has room for all, and it's our chance to reach you, and
your chance to reach us.
If you want one of our recordings is to mail,
e-mail, call or fax us, or use our On-Line order form
and we will ship it to you in a few days. We have done this since 1982, and
have thousands of mail-order customers. We do not share your data with anyone
or sell your name and address. We keep everything in stock, and always ship promptly,
so you won't have to drive all over town to find something or wait weeks to get
it. Being a very small company, we can usually accomodate your special needs at
Holiday times or for gifts. Currently our only artist is Harvey Reid.
In Feb 2002 we began to offer the first custom CD's, and you will be allowed to order from the out-of-print catalog, plus some selected goodies including out-takes, live cuts and historic things. These items will be available on a pay-per-song basis, and burned onto a CD that will be mailed to you. (Details on the custom CD page.)

#117 The Autoharp Album (2003) | Harvey has finally showcased his remarkable autoharp playing on this beautifully recorded 74 minute masterpiece. His rich, unaccompanied sound is featured on 17 instrumentals and 4 songs, and except for a little rhythm guitar and some duets with the violin, it is all solo, and may be the definitive autoharp CD. Reid showcases his uncannily accurate technique, while bringing a significant body of new music to the repertoire of the instrument. Using 6 different autoharps (including an antique 1885 Zimmermann, one of the first autoharps ever made, and Bryan Bowers personal instruments) Reid shines in chromatic and diatonic styles, and offers lovely re-recordings of some of his better-known autoharp songs.
